Aromatherapy for migraine helps a lot in reducing the headache.If you use aromatherapy essential oils early enough you can prevent the onset of full-blown headache altogether.

These oils can help:

- Lavender oil

- Peppermint oil

- Chamomile oil

- Rosemary oil

You can add 12 drops of any of the above mentioned oil to 4 fl oz (100 ml) of carrier oil and massage it into your temples, neck and up into the base of your skull and scalp.

Or steam inhale, using twenty drops of oil in 2 pints (1.1 liters) of hot water.

If you have nausea with your headache, peppermint is really helpful.
